Group Dinner at the Tonga Room

We kicked off the weekend with a family-style dinner at the Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar in The Fairmont — tiki drinks, indoor rainstorms over the lagoon, and a table full of friends.

🎶 Live Music: The Island Groove kept the lagoon barge rocking with top 40 hits from the 60s, 70s & 80s.
🎤 After Dinner: We rolled down the hill to Moez Tavern (opens in new tab) — Union Square's Simpsons-themed bar — for late-night karaoke.

Saturday, July 11th

Giants 4, Rockies 2 — A Win from the Bonds Suite

We watched the Giants take down the Rockies in style from the exclusive Bonds Suite at Oracle Park — stadium seats, bar stools, a couch, and a spread to match.

🏆 Final Score: Giants 4, Rockies 2. Casey Schmitt's tiebreaking three-run homer in the sixth sealed it.
🎁 Giveaway: It was Fiesta Gigantes — and yes, we got our free .
World Cup Pit Stop: After the game, some of us headed to Bar VIA (opens in new tab) at Hotel VIA, directly across from the ballpark, to watch the rest of the World Cup match. Where we helped stop a World Cup Mirror Theft!
🛴 The Great Scooter Escape: Once the World Cup match wrapped up, a brave contingent skipped the Uber lines and made an epic e-scooter ride from Oracle Park back to the hotel.
🎹 Saturday Night: We capped the day with dinner, dueling pianos, and singalongs at Johnny Foley's Irish House (opens in new tab).

Sunday, July 12th

Monet and Venice at the de Young

We closed out the weekend with fine art and culture at the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. Monet and Venice reunited over 20 of Monet's 37 Venice canvases — painted during his only visit to the city in 1908, at age 68 — for the first time in over a century, alongside works by Canaletto, Renoir, Turner, Sargent, and Whistler. A perfect, mellow landing after a big weekend.

🥟 One Last Bite: On the way home, a few groups stopped at Din Tai Fung (opens in new tab) for a late lunch of soup dumplings — the perfect send-off.
